DELIVERY FAQ's
Each bale weighs approximately18kg.
All our pallets are securely wrapped in plastic with a top sheet to protect the bales from the elements, pallets can be stored for up to 3 months without issue.
If you order before 2.00pm on any weekday then your pallet will arrive within 2 working days. (Working days are Mon – Fri) otherwise it will arrive on the 3rd day.
Deliveries usually arrive on a rigid 18ton vehicle, which is about the size of a dustcart lorry. If you think this will be too big to access your property or if it is likely to come into problems due to your location, select the option for 7.5-ton vehicle and your pallet will come on a smaller lorry that is usually able to overcome these issues. If in doubt just give our team a call and we can discuss any concerns you may have.

The driver is not obliged to do this but they usually will be as helpful as possible. The pallet is unloaded from the rear of the lorry using a tail lift, it is then moved using a pallet truck which has small wheels so is only able to function on concrete / tarmac or very hard standing ground. It will not work on gravel or loose bumpy ground so bare this mind when ordering. Cardboard Bedding Solutions Ltd will not take any responsibility for a failed delivery due to such issues and should the pallet need to be returned to our factory then you the customer will bare all costs involved.
USAGE FAQ's
Green Mile Bedding is 100% biodegradable and will break down in 8 -12 weeks if left outside to rot. It will be beneficial to whoever collects your waste bedding as it will put fibre back into their soil and help with composting.
Green Mile Bedding is extremely absorbent and not only will it absorb all your horse’s urine but it will lock away the ammonia too. With this in mind we suggest removing any wet areas every 2-3 days to prevent a large buildup of ammonia when you come to muck out. Therefore we wouldn’t recommend the deep litter method.
Cardboard holds no nutritional value and is very unpalatable to horses or any other animal. Should your horse be curious and try to eat the bedding it won’t be long till he spits it out. Our bedding is free from any chemicals so in the unlikely case your horse does ingest and of the bedding it should not cause issues of poisoning.
Green Mile bedding works extremely well with rubber matting in fact we highly recommend using both.
